Recipe for Hope

May 25, 2010 § Leave a comment

  • 1 chance (remote)
  • 4-6 friends (encouraging and/or helpful variety work best)
  • 2-3 generous strangers
  • Elbow grease

Combine ingredients, reduce sleep and stir.

The nice thing about hope is that you can make it for yourself. You don’t need someone to hire you, pick your proposal or even think you have a good idea. You can mix up a batch whenever you notice you’ve got the ingredients on hand (or can at least round them up).

I turned in my RFP today and although I was busy all day, I didn’t run into any snags. Now all I can do is hope. Which when you think about it, is a pretty nice thing to be doing.

(To the helpful and encouraging variety of friends/family who helped me all week: Thank you so much and you are awesome.)
