Cirque du Soleil

Last weekend, Brad and I went to see Cirque du Soleil’s bug-themed Ovo and it was quite awesome.

We both have such fond memories of the Kooza show we saw in 2009. The circumstances were pretty different then (Hike was a newborn and “fun” free minutes together were few and far between) so I was a little worried it wouldn’t be as awesome no matter how good it was. But I didn’t need to worry. It was as awesome. Even without sleep and fun deprivation.

As always, the show was filed with stuff that just made you sit there and wonder who thinks of this stuff. Here are a few photos I pulled of their site of my favorite acts:

A dancing caterpillar guy.

A bug that balances on one arm (not to mention all kinds of other extra curriculars).

People bouncing up a wall off hidden turbo-trampolines.

This show was a good, good time. As usual, it kind of makes me want to join the circus.
