The Birthday of Bradly

June 27, 2011 § Leave a comment

This weekend we celebrated Brad’s birthday! The weather was rainy but by the end we had resolved to have fun outside anyway. The result: swimming and a picnic in the actual rain last night. Oh well.

Here are some of my favorite photos from the weekend. The worst part about a weekend is the sad-stomach-ache I get on Mondays. I guess I should be glad I love my weekends so much.

Here are B and H eating oatmeal at Nina’s in St. Paul. Yep, Brad picked oatmeal for his birthday morning breakfast. This isn’t something I expect you to understand unless you’ve tried this stuff. Hiram ate all of his and then some of mine and Brad’s.

Cute picture of Brad but “bad” picture of the horses who were pulling us in this wagon at the St. Paul Farmer’s Market. We could have gotten to our car faster on our own feet, but what fun is that?

H and B in their Birthday…hats! Thanks Giki and Bumpa!

Reading “Brad’s” new book (“My Daddy and Me!”) in Hiram’s igloo tent (which was pitched in desperation after Hike’s 18th request to ride his bike. Outside. In the rain.)

Lemon Poppy-seed Birthday Cake + Candles = An almost insurmountable distraction from dinner time peas.

These are technically “out of scope” for birthday pictures, but still part of the weekend and still cute. The first one is of Hiram looking at a turtle on our canoe trip with Loonacy yesterday. The other two are from Friday Pizza Night with Megan and Patrick.

Oh man. So much fun this weekend.
