Hiram: 2 Years + 5 Months

Not Workin! Hiram’s a boy who likes to get things right. The first time. My poor little baby has a perfectionist soul like his mama (sorry babe). But I must say, this characteristic is cuter on Hiram. When the stool gets stuck on the corner of the cabinet or the zipper just won’t zip up, it’s all I can do to keep a straight face. He stomps his feet and gets hysterical. “Grrrrrr!” he says, “Not Workin!”
Let’s make a pile. A pile of what, you ask? Whatever. Sand, pillows, dolls, dishes. Whatever there is to pile up together, Hiram will recruit you to help him get them in a bunch. Of course, he thinks the best part is knocking it down.
I’m a Puppy: Hiram has an alternate personality– a puppy who licks everything (!) and is often more agreeable than his two-year-old counterpart. This is handy because when Hiram doesn’t feel like going to bed or wearing his shoes, he just has puppy do it instead. (I am trying not to get too paranoid about multiple personality disorder at this early stage). One thing puppy (still) doesn’t do though, according to Hiram, is wear a winter coat. Darn!
