Eldyn: 7 Months

July 16, 2012 § 2 Comments

Whawhawhaaaa? Seven months? That’s more than half a year already.

Feed Me! In addition to rice cereal, Eldyn is now eating pretty much any delight o’puree we put in front of him. So far his top three, in order of absolute favorite to just regular favorite are: Pears, Green Beans, Peas. A housekeeping tip I’ve discovered is that Eldyn is a lot neater if you hold his right hand while going in with the spoon. The left one can be free but the right one can’t resist grabbing at that beautiful, delicious mush.

Don’t Drink With Strangers: Eldyn can be just a little bit fickle when it comes to bottle time. Here is a list of people who he will not allow to give him milk from a bottle.

  • Me (he thinks this is especially impractical)
  • Brad
  • Megan
  • Giki
  • Grandma Barrows
  • Anyone else but his daycare teacher. Or Hiram.

Rock On! Eldyn wants to crawl more than anything else in the world. He practices all day and night by getting on his hands and knees and rocking, rocking, rocking. Here is a story Eldyn’s daycare teacher told me about him this morning: Yesterday, she put him down for a nap and he immediately flipped over and started rocking. She went back into the other room and when she checked on him in the monitor, his CRIB was gone. She went back to see what was going on and found that he had fallen asleep, but only after jiggling his crib all the way out into the middle of the room.
