Eldyn: 1 Year + 1 Month

If you ask e-Lew, I bet he’d say his first month as a 1-year-old wasn’t the best thing ever. This kid has been through the wringer. Here is how his month went down.
Black Eye! e-Lew continues to stretch himself to try new things every day. This means, e-Lew continues to fall onto his head/face/bottom more often than I’d prefer. This month, he got his first real shiner, from double-falling first onto the corner of a table and then onto the floor. A one-two punch, if you will.
Pinkeye! Adding illness to injury, e-Lew has also been sick this month. An ear infection and pinkeye, back to back. Another one-two punch.
Eye-yi-yi! We’re also venturing into the non-formula world of cow’s milk. If you’ll recall, e-Lew was very opposed to lactose as a baby and apparently, is still opposed to it now. Unfortunately, I failed to nail this aversion quickly, despite obvious clues including a late-night screaming fit that drove me to actually think, “This is just like the colic days!”
Oh, and he’s teething. One. Two. Punch.
The good news is, we’re getting ourselves straightened out again now. If we can avoid the barf-o-ramma that’s currently going down at daycare, a full night of sleep should be on the agenda soon!
