Say What? Junk Food

March 21, 2013 § 1 Comment

Whenever Hiram tells us he’s hungry and then asks for junk food, we say, “Hiram, if you’re hungry you can’t have junk food. Junk food will just make you more hungry.”  (We thought we were brilliant coming up with this.)

Now Hiram has a new argument for junk food. He waits until we’re done eating some humongous meal and then says, “I’m sooooooo full. May I please have fruit snacks now?”

The first time he said this, I said, “Hiram, you just ate a huge lunch! Let’s wait a little while for fruit snacks.”

“No!” he said. “If I wait I will get hungry again and then I can’t have fruit snacks.”

Oh. Good point.
