Eldyn: 2 Years!

TWO Years! I was just thinking the other day about how very much more I know about Eldyn now that he’s two. He’s got personality that just keeps coming which means every day is another piece of the pure joy puzzle that is our LewLew.

Right Now! Based on context clues, I’d guess that Eldyn doesn’t entirely grasp the meaning of “Right NOW!” just yet. But that doesn’t stop him from pulling out this two-word combo when he needs a one-two punch. “I don’t want to wear my coat, RIGHT NOW!” Or, “I am all done RIGHT NOW!” Oh, he means such business and oh, it’s hard not to laugh.

Taunt and Tease: Eldyn has started to lovingly taunt us with adorable phrases like “I’m gonna get you” or “tickle, tickle.” We’re all subject to the resulting random tackle or tickle attack, but his big brother is the happiest about this trend. Finally, Hiram has someone in the house who is just as eager to giggle-wrestle as he is.

Sing Along: The singing! The Frog Song, Jesus Loves Me, Twinkle Twinkle, Old McDonald. At this point, he relies on his tune-carrying abilities (vs. his enunciation skills) to get the rest of us on board but you gotta hand it to him, it’s working. The other day, he successfully sang the ABCs to a stranger at Target (who recognized the song and was impressed) and last night he led us all in several rounds of “e-Lew I love you” at dinner.
