Eldyn: 2 Years + 3 Months

DIY – There is no quicker way to tick off Lew than to deny him his DIY fix. Speaking from experience, here are some things you should NOT try to help Eldyn do:
- Carry the family’s Papa Murphy’s pizza out to the car. FYI – Lew likes to carry pizzas perpendicular to the ground and above his head. Although this messes up your toppings, it charms the pants off all the other patrons in the store. Patrons who I am sure are glad he is not carrying their pizza.
- Reach any high thing, especially if it involves a stool. Or two stools stacked on top of each other.
- Take off his own pajamas. Even if it looks like he’s turned his footie pajamas into a straight jacket, he’s fine.
Small Talk – I have found the perfect use for small talk. Teach it to Eldyn. It will brighten your day. This morning, he was pretending to be on the phone with Bumpa: “How are you Bumpa? I’m good!” Or the other night at dinner: “How are YOU today?”
Book Worm – Eldyn has a real, honest to gosh, read-constantly-and-can’t-get-enough-of-it-book! This! From the child who couldn’t sit still for a book with more than 8 words just a year ago. His first official favorite book is about Babar. He loves figuring out who is who, which one is Babar, and which of the brothers fell down while ice skating (Hiram, he thinks.)
