Hiram: 4 Years + 11 Months

What a big month for Hiram!
Wiggly: Hiram has two wiggly teeth. Yes, that’s early. Yes, he’s thrilled about it. No, I’m not fine. He’s my baby! Considering he got these wiggly bottom teeth when he was barely two months old, I guess it is time for them to move on. Like his broken arm, his wiggly teeth are another big conversation starter. Even when he’s feeling shy, he’ll tell any old stranger about his two wiggly teeth.
Kindergarten: Hiram had kindergarten registration this week. Yes, he’s ready. Yes, he’s excited. No, I’m not fine. I almost cried waiting in the snake line to turn in his forms. The featured picture this month was taken on our trial school bus run around the block. That ride was a highlight, along with the bucket (understatement) of hot wheel cars he saw in one of the classrooms.
Hey Batter, Batter: Hiram is officially too good a baseball batter to reasonably assume we can practice in our back yard anymore. His new favorite thing to do is coax the rest of the family to jog over to the grassy patch near our house and whale on balls as hard as he can while the rest of us chase them down. Yes, the bat is a little larger than standard. Yes, the ball is too. No, his mama can’t think of anything more fun to do than baseball with this amazing almost 5-year old.
