Shoe Confusion: Poor Lew. He loves to do things for himself but he CANNOT get his shoes on the right feet. He comes running in with a huge grin on his face, “Mom! Is this right!?” And then I have to say “No.” He is so consistently wrong that I have considered telling him the rule is to figure out which foot to put the shoe on and then switch to the other foot. But, I fear that would ultimately complicate matters. I guess we could also just go with it. He liked it when his Grandma B suggested he does it on purpose to confuse anyone who is following him.
Just Keep Swimming: Eldyn just finished his first round of swimming lessons! I forgot how random swimming lessons are for preschoolers. But, he did everything that was expected of him and seemed to love the splashing and kicking parts the best. He is also proud that he can put his ears in the water (one at a time) and sometimes he will dip his nose too!
Write On: I just love to see all the “E’s” popping up on the artwork Eldyn brings home. My middle name starts with an E and I distinctly remember believing as a child that adding more lines to a capital E is a sure-fire way to make it more special. The more lines = the more special. Apparently, Eldyn believes this too.
