Hiram: 6 Years + 4 Months

Play Time: Last weekend the Sunday School Director at our church let me know that Hiram had a role in the Christmas program! The kid who took a full 9 months of ramping up to feel like he could silently mouth words in Wee Praise Choir has 4 lines in the Christmas Show! I started making excuses for his performance (out loud, unfortunately, at least he wasn’t there) before Good Mom dropkicked Bad Mom and finally just said, “Great! We’ll do our best!” Also, FYI Bad Mom, H is pumped.
Ding, Ding, Ding! Also at church, Hiram’s started playing bells. Which means he’s learning about music and counting and working together. So far, he absolutely loves it and comes home with awesome updates like, “A circle with a line is 2.”
Finger Knittin’ Good: Hiram has learned how to finger knit and will now knit any/all string, twine or rope into a long, knotted chain. The longer, the better. Last week, I was lucky enough to be gifted one of his brighter pieces, which he did in rainbow yarn. “You can wear this to work, Mom!”
