First Day Recap

Three little words any mom wants to hear after a first day of school: Today. Was. Awesome.

I was on the hearing-end of this utterance yesterday afternoon. In fact. These were the first three words I heard after picking Hiram up from school. All night he was happy, chatty and confident. He didn’t even seem too tired.

It seems like his favorite thing about yesterday was STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) class, which he starts now because he’s a first grader. He was also impressed with his new lunchbox because it kept the “freezer” frozen all day long. I am counting the minutes until tonight when I can find out what he thought of day 2. Let’s hope this happiness continues on and on.
